How to do it

Step by step

  1. Remove old vent screens.
  2. Install 1/16 to 1/8 in metal mesh or listed ember-resistant vents.
  3. Seal gaps around vents and at the eaves.
  4. Clean debris from under decks and gutters.
When to call a pro: Two-story eaves: hire it out.
